Thank you, Port of Coos Bay Rail, for the opportunity to lease the rails, thank you to the City of Coquille for the use of Penny Sturdivant Park as our departure site and to the community for rail biking, and for your support of Oregon Coast Railriders. We are helping the community together.
You will pedal a four seated quadricycle. Each unit is separate from the remaining nine railriders. Staff will travel with each tour group. Each railrider can be rented for groups of less than four for the price of four riders. But, it is enjoyable to make a new friend if you are willing. Pair strong group members with those that doubt their ability to pedal the two hour round trip. This is a scenic tour so we try to set a sustainable pace.
PEDAL THE RAILS TO SAVE THE RAILS AND PRESERVE RAIL ROAD HISTORY. RAILRIDING IS A STUPENDOUS WAY TO EXPERIENCE THE OUT- OF -DOORS AND EXPERIENCE FIRST HAND RAIL CORRIDORS SEEN ONLY BY RAILROAD WORKERS or PERHAPS AN EXCURSION TRAIN OR TWO.
VARIETY OF NATURE
Experience the beautiful views, ranging from grassy meadows, coast forests, and panoramic view of the scenic Coquille Valley. You will likely see song birds, water birds, wildlife, farm animals and a wood processing mill complete with log pond. The Wildflowers are spectacular through much of the summer.
4-SEATED BIKES
Enjoy the unique experience of PEDALING a four seated, pedal powered, railroad quadricycle along a portion of the historic Port of COOS BAY Railroad. No trains were we travel though.
PERFECT FOR GROUPS

Pedal toward Coos Bay on the Coos Bay historic railway for six miles. You will pedal round trip for about twelve miles on unused track. Staff will turn your four seated railrider around while you take a break. Outdoor toilets are available. Please take some water for your use as there is none available on the trip. Come dressed for the weather. We run rain or shine. Bring your camera and a BIG smile.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND railriding adventures with our affiliates who can offer you great scenery and friendly staff. Each route is unique and has its own culture and rewards. There are MANY new rail biking or railriding sites around the USA. Check them out.
