Our rail bikes are specially designed four-wheeled vehicles built with lightweight aluminum frames and durable polyurethane wheels that glide smoothly along the rails. Riding requires about half the effort of riding a traditional bicycle, making the experience enjoyable for riders of many ages and fitness levels. Each rail bike accommodates up to four riders and features adjustable seats, seatbelts, and pedals for a comfortable fit.

Yes! Joy Rails offers electric-assist rail bikes that provide motorized support, allowing you to enjoy the scenery with minimal pedaling. Each rail bike seats up to four guests and is a great option for families, seniors, and anyone looking for a more relaxed outdoor adventure.

Yes. Small children who cannot safely reach the pedals must ride in an approved car seat. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure so our team can properly install the car seat. For safety reasons, lap riding is not permitted.

Please arrive at your departure station 20 minutes before your scheduled tour time to allow enough time for check-in and safety instructions.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Since tours operate outdoors, dress appropriately for the weather.

Yes. Joy Rails tours operate rain or shine. Please check the forecast and come prepared for changing weather conditions.

We recommend bringing:

• A refillable water bottle (24-ounce maximum)
• Sunglasses
• Sunscreen or other sun protection
• Any weather-appropriate clothing you may need

No. Pets are not permitted on the rail bikes and should not be left unattended in vehicles. Please make alternative arrangements before your visit.

Yes. Every participant must complete a Joy Rails Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement before participating in the tour.

Reservations canceled with at least 48 hours’ notice are eligible to receive a credit that may be used during the same operating season.

Yes. Maximum rider weight varies by location:

• Arcade, NY: 265 pounds per rider
• Chehalis, WA: 265 pounds per rider
• Coquille, OR: 265 pounds per rider
• Oklahoma City, OK: 300 pounds per rider

No. All Joy Rails tours are smoke-free. Riders may not participate while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
